Monique L. Berkley is an award-winning writer, director and producer. Born and raised in Harlem, New York, Monique graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a Theater degree. Her years of stage work as an actress at Playwrights Horizons and The American Theater of Actors, led to her working with late broadway producer, Philip Rose. Eventually, this pairing marshalled in roles on television and in independent film projects.
Soon after receiving her MBA in Media Management, Monique began to develop a yet to be titled work that would resonate and promote the inner voice of a driven, professional woman bursting with potential. The result was her independently produced and directed award-winning short film, “I Hate This Fkn’ Job”.
IHTFJ has screened in multiple film festivals and has been invited to screen at 2022’s National Urban League. She is a member of SAG/AFTRA and NYCWF. Monique is currently developing the docu-series, “What About Her” and narratives “Still A Good Dude” and “Jamilah Speaks”.
